The Good Place Activation — San Diego Comic-Con 2018 NBC / Universal Television
We transformed San Diego's Gaslamp District into a full replica of the show's neighborhood — the network's largest interactive fan experience to date. Guests entered in groups, were welcomed by a custom video with Ted Danson and D'Arcy Carden in character, then stepped into a faithful recreation of the town square complete with a froyo shop, a shrimp carousel, an interactive ethics lesson, and chipped wristbands that tracked your choices and determined your fate. True to the show, things eventually went sideways when "Bad Place" characters crashed the experience. Nearby, the Tin Fish restaurant was rebranded as "The Good Plates" with a themed menu, with half of proceeds benefiting No Kid Hungry. Lines were long. People left smiling.
